I Believe

I believe, these four simple words play an important role in any organization’s success, namely passion, acknowledgment, rewards, and values.

Passion is your passion towards work. When one is passionate about work, dedication towards work is evident and results are achieved in the most natural fashion possible.

Acknowledgment is appreciating each other’s work and success. I believe it should be a two way process and not just restricted from top to bottom of an organization. It should flow both ways top to bottom and bottom to top.

Rewards, this is the master of all the four words I have mentioned. Rewards, is the remuneration you get for your passion, dedication and success. If proper care is not given to this aspect people will lose their drive to work and negativity creeps in. One should be righteous in determining the overall contribution of a person and rewards are a way of showing how valuable one is to the organization.

Values portray the face of the organization in the business world. They are defined by the morals and ethics in the way the business is run. An organization’s value is determined by the value of its individuals.

I would like to end this with a quote I like from the movie Fight Club.

“I am not my job. I am not how much money I have in the bank. I am not the car I drive. I am not the contents of my wallet. I am not my fucking khakis. I am the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world.”
